More than 8,000 poultry business associates visit the three-day exhibition.
ATM News Network: A three-day India Poultry Exhibition Was held with zest in Nashik. The 4th edition of the India Poultry Expo was concluded at Thakkar’s Dome Nashik. The exhibition was a joint venture of Tezasvi Events and People for Poultry, in collaboration with Western India Poultry Association. The three-day exhibition was visited by more than 8,000 poultry business associates and farmers.
India Poultry Expo was organised on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of March 2023 at Nashik in association with Tezasvi Events Hyderabad and People for Poultry, Chhattisgarh. About 6000 poultry producers from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana participated in this exhibition.
The organisers said that such exhibitions are held in metropolitan cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, or Delhi. But small poultry farmers and people in rural areas cannot participate in such an exhibition. Hence, they remain unaware of the new research being done in poultry farming. Following this thread, this exhibition was organised to inform the small-scale poultry producers in rural and semi-urban areas about the new scientific techniques being developed in the business.
Around 80 companies from local, national and international levels participated by setting up stalls in this three-day exhibition. They included companies producing poultry feed, medicines and equipment. Representatives of all these companies provided information to the poultry producers regarding the quality of their products.
The main objective of this exhibition is to remove common misconceptions about the consumption of eggs and chicken and to clarify their usefulness in daily diet. The three-day demonstration is also a feature of the three-day demonstration to request for the Maharashtra government to include eggs in the mid-day meals of schools and Anganwadis as a solution to child malnutrition, like other states in the country.
The exhibition was inaugurated on March 25 by Municipal Commissioner Dr Chandrakant Pulkundwar, famous film actor Makarand Anaspure, Uddhav Ahire, Chairman and Managing Director of Anand Agro and others. On this occasion, President of Maharashtra Poultry Farmers and Breeders Association Sanjay Nalgirkar, General Manager of Venkateswara Group Dr P. G. Pedgaonkar was present.
On the second day of the exhibition i.e. March 26, renowned poultry scientists and experts from the country gave lectures on important topics like management, disease and diagnosis in poultry farming. This exhibition was organised by the Animal Husbandry Department of the Maharashtra Government, the Broiler Farmers Coordinating Committee, the Private Veterinary Institute, Broiler Farmers and Breeders Association V. P. A. F.
