ATM News Network: Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya expressed the belief that nano urea will improve the future of farmers and change their future by increasing their income.
The inauguration of the IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid Plant at Aonla and Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh was done by minister Mandaviya.
Talking about the benefits of Nano Urea, he said that Nano Urea is the best green technology and provides a solution to pollution. This saves soil and also increases production. It is best for farmers. Nano DAP has been approved by an expert committee of the government. Soon it will replace DAP. Nano DAP will be of great benefit to our farmers and will be available at half the cost of DAP.
Mandaviya also highlighted the government's efforts to provide nano urea to farmers. He also pointed out the challenges of getting approval from various departments, convincing farmers, and dealing with the conventional urea lobby in introducing nano urea.
Mandaviya also said that this is an alternative fertilizer. He said that we used urea and DAP over the years to increase productivity. When we use urea, only 35 percent of the nitrogen (urea) is used by the crop. Unused urea affects the soil. Today the productivity of land is decreasing. Shifting to alternative fertilizers is necessary as crop yields are limited.
IFFCO Chairman Dilip Sanghani, IFFCO Vice Chairman Balveer Singh, IFFCO MD & CEO Uday Shankar Awasthi, and Keshari Devi MP Phulpur were present at the inaugural event.
