ATM News Network: The Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change has recommended environmental clearance to a company's proposal for expansion of a factory manufacturing technical grade pesticides and insecticides at Khedri in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, AIMCO Pesticides Limited informed.
The AIMCO Pesticides Limited Company intends to set up a plant with a production capacity of 21,451 TPA from 14,360 TPA. Estimated project cost is Rs 24.66 crores with existing investment of Rs 17.66 crores.
The budget earmarked for Environmental Management Plan (EMP) will be Rs 2.88 crores (Capital) and Recurring expenditure (Operation and Maintenance) will be around Rs 0.76 crores. After the expansion, the total employment will increase to 510 people from the current stage, which will provide employment to 210 people.
