ATM News Network: Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has transferred 'HT Trait Donor Rice Genotype Technology' to Nuziveedu Seeds Limited Company to increase farmers' income by reducing economic losses due to weeds. Scientists have expressed the belief that this technology will make a significant contribution to increase the income of farmers.
Scientists at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, have developed the 'HT Trait Donor Rice Genotype Technology'. The contract was transferred through Agrinnovate India Limited.
Director of ICAR-IARI A.K. Singh reported the development of non-GM herbicide genotypes with imazethapir 10 percent SL using ethyl methane sulfonate induced herbicide.
Praveen Malik, Chief Executive Officer, Agrinovate India Limited, Viswanathan Chinnusamy, Assistant Director, ICAR-IARI and representatives of commercial companies, officials of the respective companies were present on the occasion.
